Each year, Foundation House supports approximately 5,000 survivors of torture or other traumatic experiences who come from dozens of countries of origin.

We offer a comprehensive range of services to individual survivors of refugee background, their families and communities, including:

  • Specialised counselling
  • Individual and family support
  • Group programs
  • Complementary therapies such as traditional herbal medicine, massage and other natural therapies

Our dedicated staff work across five locations in metropolitan Melbourne.

Foundation House maintains a program of capacity building, professional learning and secondary consultation in rural and regional Victoria. There are several services across rural and regional areas where people of refugee background can be referred for counselling, usually community health centres.
