Supporting students and families of Afghan background
19 August 2021
The Foundation House Schools in for Refugees program has developed resources for teachers and schools wanting to support students and families of Afghan background.
Many Victorian students and families of Afghan background are currently experiencing trauma because of the events unfolding in Afghanistan. Furthermore, this is a difficult time for school staff supporting students in a remote learning environment.
Foundation House have responded with two recordings for school staff you can view here, and a downloadable Resource which provide schools with important information about how they can support their students and families of Afghan background. Further initiatives will follow.
